An interview with Jeff Wiener, CERN

Last week I had an awesome conversation with Jeff Wiener.

Jeff is a staff scientist, managing CERN’s national and international teacher training programmes and investigating teachers’ conceptions of particle physics.

Our discussion was filled with science and education. It is amazing what goes on at CERN, from their research efforts in fundamental and particle physics, to inventing society-changing technologies (I don’t only mean the Web), to inspiring the next generation of scientists that will keep CERN at the forefront.

Check it out.

Would you like me to ask Jeff something? We’ll do a follow up interview, totally dedicated to science and technology. We’ll discuss the particle accelerator, how they collect and process massive amounts of data from the detectors, how their network works, and much more.
