You pay less for getting in early and receiving the content as it is published. Each time a new volume or course is complete, its price steps up, and the bundle follows. Once you buy, your price is locked, and I will never ask you for the difference.
Thank you for getting in early. Every book owner receives a personal upgrade code by email, so you can add the video course at a preferential price instead of paying for it from scratch. Choose the video course at checkout before you enter your code.
If you already own KiCad Like a Pro, 4th edition, you are eligible for a 20% discount on the current price of the book, the video course or the bundle. Your unique coupon code will be emailed to you in due course. When you receive it, paste the code into the discount field at checkout. The code is not applied automatically, so you need to enter it yourself.
Do I need both? No. Each stands on its own. The video teaches the doing, and the book holds the depth. If you want both, the bundle is the cheapest way to get them.
Is the book finished? Volumes 1 and 2 are complete and published for early adopters. Volumes 3 and 4 are planned. The live status page shows you exactly where things stand.
Is the video course available? Yes. Course 1, Your First PCBs, is open now. The course page shows how far editing has come and what follows in Courses 2 to 4.
Will the price go up? Yes, in steps. The book started at €20, is €40 now that Volume 2 is complete, rises to €50 when Volume 3 is complete, and early-adopter pricing ends at €60 when Volume 4 is complete. The video course is €40 now that Course 1 is open and steps up as each later course is complete, ending at €120. The bundle is always 20% less than the two bought separately. Your price is locked the moment you buy.
What format is the book? Right now, you read it online, inside your Tech Explorations account. It's delivered there as a course so you can track your progress chapter by chapter, but it's your copy of the book, not a separate product. Once the book is complete, it becomes available as a PDF and an EPUB, both downloadable.
