Arduino IoT Cloud For Busy People
This page contains a list of required and optional hardware components and software for the course "Arduino IoT Cloud For Busy People".
In this course I demonstrate the various experiments using an Arduino MKR1010, Arduino Nano 33 IoT, and a generic ESP32 Board.
If you want to follow along with minimal risk of problems, I recommend that you use an Arduino MKR1010. This board is affordable, and has on-board components such as an RGB LED, so you can learn some of the basics of the Arduino IoT Cloud without external hardware.
The cheaper Arduino Nano 33 IoT is also an excellent board that is fully supported by Arduino IoT Cloud, including uploading of firmware by air.
However, you will be able to get a lot done with even the cheapest ESP32 or ESP8266 boards. Just keep in mind that these boards are partially supported. The most important missing feature is over-the-air updates.
The items in these lists are provided in an effort to make it easier for our students to find the parts and tools they need.
